Tanisia Moore

USA Today bestselling author Tanisia “Tee” Moore is a revered voice in African American storytelling, known affectionately as “your family’s favorite author.” She writes for young readers under her own name and adult contemporary romance as Nisia Roye. Across all of her work, Tee weaves life lessons rooted in the richness of Black culture, family traditions, and imagination. Her children’s books include the picture books Wash Day Love, illustrated by Coretta Scott King Honoree Raissa Figueroa; When Black Girls Dream Big; and I Am My Ancestors’ Wildest Dreams, both illustrated by Robert Paul Jr. She is also the author of the chapter book Micah Hudson: Football Fumble, illustrated by Aaron Cargill. With Lyn Miller-Lachmann, Tee co-authored the YA nonfiction title Film Makers: 15 Groundbreaking Women Directors. Writing as Nisia Roye, she is the author of the adult contemporary romance novel After the Storm (written under the name Nisia Skky), with additional novels in the works. Tee passionately believes that motherhood does not mean giving up womanhood. She is the creator of MomTings, an apparel and lifestyle brand for mothers who need the reminder that they can care for their children while still tending to their own dreams. Originally from Southern California, Tee is a proud alumna of Clark Atlanta University, where she majored in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in radio, and Florida A&M University College of Law.
